Description

The Fiuggi is a weekender that takes work seriously. The main compartment swallows a couple of days of clothes and still leaves room for a 15 inch laptop or tablet.

Leather handles carry it short distances comfortably. For anything longer there is a removable, adjustable shoulder strap. Crazy horse leather means the bag arrives with depth of colour and gets deeper from there.

It is the bag for the trip that is half holiday and half not. Enough capacity for the weekend, enough structure that you can walk into a meeting with it on the Monday.

  • Premium crazy horse leather
  • Fits a 15 inch laptop or tablet
  • Spacious main compartment for a weekend
  • Removable, adjustable shoulder strap
  • Reinforced leather handles

It looks travelled before it has

It looks travelled before it has

The leather is waxed and weathered so it arrives with depth rather than looking showroom new. That is deliberate, and it is why a scuff picked up on a first trip does not read as damage.
Enough for three or four days

Enough for three or four days

The opening runs wide across the top so you pack looking down into the bag, not posting things through a slot. A long weekend goes in without a fight, and the end pockets keep the charger off the bottom.
The handles go first, in a good way

The handles go first, in a good way

The twin handles darken well before the body does, because that is where your hands are. Within a few trips there is a clear mark where you grip, and that is the moment the bag starts looking like yours.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many days does it hold?

Three to four packed sensibly. For a full week look at the Verrazzo or the Domani.

Will it fit in an overhead?

Packed moderately, yes. Packed to the top it is a check bag.

Is the shoulder strap padded?

Yes, and it is removable, so it comes off when you are only carrying it by the handles.

Is the interior lined?

It is, so clothes do not come out marked by the leather.

Does the vintage finish rub off?

No. It is the leather itself, not a coating, so it deepens with handling rather than wearing away.

What leather do you use?

Full grain leather, the top layer of the hide, left unsanded so the natural grain stays intact. Several pieces use Crazy Horse leather, a waxed full grain finish that scratches into a patina rather than out of one.

Will the leather change over time?

Yes, and that is the point. Full grain darkens, softens and develops a patina shaped by how you carry it. No two pieces age the same way.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry, wipe it with a soft cloth, and condition it two or three times a year. Store it out of direct sunlight. Avoid soaking it, and if it does get wet let it dry at room temperature rather than near heat.

How do I choose the right size?

Each listing says what the piece is built to carry, including laptop sizes where they apply. Compare that against the bag you use now, since it is a more reliable guide than a size label. If you are between two options, message us with what you carry and we will tell you which one fits.

Is the leather treated or sealed?

Only lightly. Heavy sealing is what stops leather from ageing, so the surface is left open enough to absorb oils from your hands and darken over time. That does mean it is not waterproof. Keep it out of standing water, and if it does get wet let it dry at room temperature.

Will the colour match the photographs?

Closely, but not exactly. Full grain leather takes dye differently across the hide, so tone and grain shift slightly from piece to piece, and screens render colour differently again. Treat the photographs as an honest guide rather than a swatch. That variation is a property of real leather, not a fault.
