Frequently Asked Questions
How big is it?
Is the lining waterproof?
Does it stand up on its own?
Does it hang?
How is it different from the Peregrino?
What leather do you use?
Full grain leather, the top layer of the hide, left unsanded so the natural grain stays intact. Several pieces use Crazy Horse leather, a waxed full grain finish that scratches into a patina rather than out of one.
Will the leather change over time?
Yes, and that is the point. Full grain darkens, softens and develops a patina shaped by how you carry it. No two pieces age the same way.
How do I care for it?
Keep it dry, wipe it with a soft cloth, and condition it two or three times a year. Store it out of direct sunlight. Avoid soaking it, and if it does get wet let it dry at room temperature rather than near heat.
How do I choose the right size?
Each listing says what the piece is built to carry, including laptop sizes where they apply. Compare that against the bag you use now, since it is a more reliable guide than a size label. If you are between two options, message us with what you carry and we will tell you which one fits.
Is the leather treated or sealed?
Only lightly. Heavy sealing is what stops leather from ageing, so the surface is left open enough to absorb oils from your hands and darken over time. That does mean it is not waterproof. Keep it out of standing water, and if it does get wet let it dry at room temperature.
Will the colour match the photographs?
Closely, but not exactly. Full grain leather takes dye differently across the hide, so tone and grain shift slightly from piece to piece, and screens render colour differently again. Treat the photographs as an honest guide rather than a swatch. That variation is a property of real leather, not a fault.
